TALI Stands with Central TexasDevastating flash flooding struck Central Texas on July 4, 2025, causing catastrophic damage along the Guadalupe River, particularly in Kerrville and surrounding Kerr, Travis, Burnet, Kendall, Williamson, and Tom Green Counties. The floods, triggered by 10–15 inches of rain in just hours, have claimed over 110 lives, with Kerr County alone reporting at least 87 deaths, including 30 children. Many remain missing, and the region faces extensive destruction, with homes, businesses, and infrastructure like bridges and roads severely damaged or washed away. Camp Mystic, a girls’ summer camp in Kerr County, was among the hardest hit, with 27 campers and counselors lost and several still unaccounted for.
The scale of this tragedy, worsened by a rapid 26-foot surge of the Guadalupe River in just 45 minutes, has deeply impacted our community, including members of the Texas Association of Licensed Investigators (TALI).
